Day 390 - 06/10/2014 : Sant Martí Surroca Romanesque church

The parish church of St. Marti Surroca is located on the slopes of Serra Cavallera 1,300 meters above sea level, at the head of the Malatosta torrent under a cliff that has been given its name (Su-roca).

The first news about the church dated on 1090 but it's known that it was rebuilt in the 12th century.

The beautiful Romanesque church surrounded by green fields creates a fantastic panorama which creates the desire to stop the car and have a rest to breath the fresh air coming from the ranges.

A few minutes later we took the picture started to snow and the landscape changed completely.

It was wonderful !
