Day 210 - 09/04/2014 : Tona, Sant Andreu church

The most relevant monument from Tona is Sant Adreu church. Located at Pla del Castell this church watch over Tona and Osona shire from his privileged position.

The church comes from Romanesque style although the bell tower is from Baroque and is thought it's was built in the 11th Century from the runes of a old church.

 It was furbished up in 1989 to celebrate his 1100 years of existence and nowadays it's in a good state allowing verify the transformation of the church from pre-Romanesque to Gothic.

To sum up, a stunning place to visit and learn about the Catalan Romanesque.
