Day 80 - 29/11/2013 : Corva La Caixa

You are seeing the most popular curve in 'Circuit de Catalunya', it's called 'Corva La Caixa'.

It's a exciting spectacle waiting for the cars coming from the big straight until they begin a large brake to turn 180º.

The visit to 'Circuit de Catalunya' located in Montmelo is a usual trend in tourist coming to Catalonia, we're a country with a large tradition in motor events and since the existence of their magnificent track F1 fans have been enjoying year by year.

Day 79 - 28/11/2013 : Panoramic view from Burriac Castle


Look at this view, it's amazing !!!

The Maresme shire in their big expression, Argentona on the left, Mataro and the sea on the right all surrounded by the green mountains of Montnegre and Corredor.

If you want to see in person this landscape, come and climb up to Burriac.


Day 78 - 27/11/2013 : Panoramic view from Turó d'en Cors

Fantastic and amazing the panoramic view from today !!!

We can see from Vallvidrera, Collserola Tower to Maresme shire and Barcelona at all.

Day 77 - 26/11/2013 : Barcelona panoramic view from Sarria lookout

We will spend the following days to show us great panoramic view from our country.

The first one was taken in the Sarria lookout, it's a complete panoramic picture of Barcelona, when you can see Vallvidrera and high districts on the left side, the big Eixamble on the center and Montjuich, Les Corts and Camp Nou on the right side.

To reach this lookout you have to leave Ronda The Dalt on 8 Exit and take the Carretera de les Aigues in the first roundabout.

Day 76 - 25/11/2013 : When the Catalan drinks...

When a true Catalan drinks the world shakes !!!

We live in a country with a relevant wine production and tasting, we've currently 11 designation of origin for our wines and we produce one of the most estimate champagne around the world.

Therefore, we love wines and we love taste them.

What about a tour in our wineries?

Day 75 - 24/11/2013 : Costa Brava cave

This beautiful cave was discovered in our trip from Blanes to Tossa using the summer season boats doing this route.

The sea was clean and turquoise color, the morning was windy and not too hot, it was a fantastic summer morning.

Our boat tried to look into the cave but is wasn't little enough to enter.

Day 74 - 23/11/2013 : Mes que un club

The magnificent stadium of our best team and their museum is the most visited museum in Catalonia, the Stadium tour giving you the chance to stay in the ground and take a walk within the lockers from Barça players.

Walking for the main tier you will have the possibility to take a big panoramic picture from all the stadium with the 'MES QUE UN CLUB' sing on the other side, you will discover how the impressive is the stadium empty too.

Day 73 - 22/11/2013 : Tossa downtown

We are coming to Tossa again !!

Our second trip around this magnificent village will take us to visit the downtown, with their narrow and steeped streets and their old walls.

You will find a lot of beautiful hidden places if you take a walk in the downtown, as this picture shows.

We are now in the viewpoint to 'Es Codolar' beach, the most quiet beach in Tossa and probably the most stunning.

Day 72 - 21/11/2013 : Vilassar style of life

We needn't go outside to enjoy the summer, we live in the best suitable town to have a perfect summer season.

We've a large beach, enough for all of us, to swimming or to lying up taking a rest and getting brown.

We've a warm weather in summer, not too hot during the day and fresh during the night due to sea winds, we can sleep as well without using the air-conditioned.

And we've beach bars, in front on the sea to take cold beers and some olives !!!

This is our town, this is how we live in.


Day 71 - 20/11/2013 : Summer evening in Vilassar de Mar

We spent a lot of summer evening face to the sea with a cold beer in our hands.

This is a plus living in a town as Vilassar, when the summer is the main season and when the town is an explosion of life wherever you go.

We've a beach bar called 'Oblikue' opened from May to September where with the past of years we are  gradually getting used to enjoy our summer evenings.

Day 70 - 19/11/2013 : Palau Blaugrana

Here the true Barça hearth, the most noisy and frightening arena in the world.

Palau Blaugrana is the history of Barça teams outside football. It's the arena where basketball and handball above all have built their respect around the world, by becoming the best teams in the world in their sport.

I've lost the number of decisive matches I've followed in Palau, crying and sweating until the end. Specially, it brings back to me the basketball leagues won to R.Madrid in the Petrovic stage, the Korac Championship won against Estudiantes after going back the match from 25 points behind.

The games in Palau encourages to put our Barça shirts on and be proud of our team.

Day 69 - 18/11/2013 : Wildlife in Catalonia

Taking a walk into the mountains will bring you the opportunity to find beautiful species, like the butterfly showed in the picture.

This butterfly was discovered in our climbing to Burriac Castlen and after few attempts to take her a picture when she stopped to take a rest she was caught by our camera.

Day 68 - 17/11/2013 : Climbing to Burriac Castle

When you are climbing to Burriac Castle you've a goal : to reach the summit and take a picture of the big Catalan flag, the 'Senyera', moving all the time by the winds effect.

It's a question to bring it in some attraction to get more attractive the walk. If you are anxious to touch the flag you could climb the last stage through the rocks, taking a workaround instead to finish the walk by the graved path.

It better for you to plan the excursion in a sunny day without clouds to get shocked by the impressive view you will reach at the top.

Day 67 - 16/11/2013 : Argentona from Burriac Castle

Let's to know another stunning town in Maresme shire, Argentona.

 It's located on the north of Mataro, close to the main city in Maresme, between the 'Conreria' and the 'Corredor' ranges.

 It's a town with a large surface with a lot of forest surrounding the inhabited land. Some time ago was a typical tourism place but the growing of Mataro changed this condition.

From Burriac Castle, looking to the north west we could see a great view of the town.

Day 66 - 15/11/2013 : Mataró from Burriac Castle

Mataró is the capital city of Maresme shire. For us isn't a special place to stay and visit, we don't like the big cities, you know.

But Marató has been growing a lot the last decade and it has became one of the most important cities in Catalonia.

From Burriac castle you can admire a great view of the city and the Mediterranean, of course, and it's possible you feel a big desire to visit it.

Day 65 - 14/11/2013 : Burriac castle

When the children are bringing up is very important to teach them the relevance to walk and enjoying the nature.

Fortunately, in our lovely shire Maresme we've plenty of route to walk, either in the sea side or by the surroundings mountains.

The Burriac castle is reached after a easy mountain walk beginning in Cabrera de Mar in the square near to the church. It's a perfect lookout from Maresme shire seaside and one choice to have a great day in the nature.

Day 64 - 13/11/2013 : Montmelo racetrack, the Catalonian circuit

Catalonia has ever been known to be a country with a great motor costumes. In the history so many Catalan drivers have been on the top of races in different styles.

Today in Catalonia the most important motor championship have one race in our country, RallyRACC is considered the best rally in WRC Championship but the main center of motor competition is the Montmelo racetrack, an spectacular track located in Valles Occidental shire.

Day 63 - 12/11/2013 : Vilassar de Mar, Mar de Flors

When the spring is finishing and we feel that summer is coming, a special event is celebrated in our little town.

The streets are plenty of flowers, the sun is shinning and the people leave their homes to enjoy the beautiful panorama.

This event is called 'Mar de Flors' and it's one of the best expression of beauty we can see in Vilassar. Normally, each house on the street creates a flower design and look after of it during all the day.

Day 62 - 11/11/2013 : Football cat

Let's come back to Vilassar, their people, their beaches and their pets will be the protagonist in following days.

Their photo was taken after coming from Roma to see Barça achieve the 'triplete' in may of 2009. Pisto was waiting me stretched out on the sofa and immediately a Barça scarf was convering him.

Pisto has given us great funny moments with their cat tricks, and even when he has become a retired cat, we will love him forever.

Day 61 - 10/11/2013 : Sea and mountains, sea of madness

Barcelona is surrounded by the sea and a set of mountain ranges giving the big city a special environment to enjoy the nature.

The mountains is for enjoy them all the year seasons, the warm climate in Catalonia allow it. The sea is for spring and summer seasons mostly, but last years is very considered in fall too due to the increase of diving activities.

Either mountains or sea, the people living in Barcelona or within their surroundings don't have excuse to live the nature.

Enjoy the nature around Barcelona !


Day 60 - 09/11/2013 : Barcelona sea side from Turo d'en Cors

Following the path mentioned in the last day, the views from Barcelona will be unforgettable.

With the mountains and the green trees close to you, you will see in the distance the big city with their maximum splendor and their sea side.

Undoubtedly, Barcelona has one of the best surroundings in the world, a city surrounded by mountains and the sea is the best dream for nature lovers.

Enjoy it in summer and enjoy it too in winter !!!

Day 59 - 08/11/2013 : Vallvidrera, Collserola and Tibidabo

When you are walking into the Turó d'en Cors paths you will give a better view from the landscape around Barcelona.

A few minutes from the start point, the car park on the left side of the 'Carretera de les Aigues Road'you will be able to take fantastic pictures of Collserola mountain, with Vallvidrera town the closest, the communications tower behind and Tibidabo mountain in the distance.

If you continue going to the south you'll get the best pictures from Barcelona and the sea side.

Day 58 - 07/11/2013 : Collserola Tower from Turo d'en Cors

Turó d'en Cors is a beautiful place inside the Collserola mountains. You can get there following the 'Carretera de les Aigues' road.

In fact, it's a mountain with 390m above the sea level where you can start to take a walk into Collserola. It's very recommended to families with children because the paths are easy and not too much steep.

You will be within a peaceful environment bringing back to your childhood. You will take a lot of pictures too, there are great views to Barcelona and Collserola Tower.

Day 57 - 06/11/2013 : Barcelona from Sarrià lookout (II)

Have you enjoyed last day? Then, today we repeat with the same place.

Close your eyes and begin to relax, take a deep breath, and let it out slowly. Concentrate on your breathing.

With each breath you become more relaxed.

The Sarrià lookout is a perfect place to become relaxed. You can sit and feel the wind on your face.

Now as I count backward from ten to One, you will fill more peaceful, and calm. Ten. Nine. Eight. Seven. Six.
You will enter a safe place where nothing can harm you. Five. Four. Three. Two.
If At any time you need to came back, all you must do is open your eyes. One.

Day 56 - 05/11/2013 : Barcelona from Sarrià lookout

What about some picture from the main city on Catalonia? We don't like big cities and we can say we  wouldn't like to live in Barcelona.

But it's fair to recognize that we've a beautiful capital with sea and mountains, with life and peace, and with a number of interesting places to visit.

One of the best views from Barcelona can be taken in the road to Vallvidrera, known as 'Carretera de les Aigues'. Once you've finished to drive into Barcelona you will a climb and you will get the Sarrià lookout.

Day 55 - 04/11/2013 : Coll de Josa

Leaving Gósol and continuing on the B-400 road to the northwest we'll begin to climb the 'Coll de Josa', the mountain pass that connects Bergueda and Alt Urgell shires.

From the lookout viewpoint of the Coll you will see a fantastic view of Gósol and their surroundings, if there were snow the view will be so magnificent.

After passing the top of the Coll you will enter in Alt Urgell shire following the Tuixent road.

Day 54 - 03/11/2013 : Crema Catalana (Catalan cream)

And finally the dessert. And what's the most delicious catalan dessert? Undoubtedly, the 'crema catalana'.

This sweet dessert is made with a base of eggs having their surface covered by a thin portion of burned sugar.

Breaking out carefully the thin surface of sugar is a challenge to eaters. Is typical to serve a little warm, the sensation in your mouth will be unforgettable.

Day 53 - 02/11/2013 : Xuleta (chop)

At the same restaurant in Gósol we talked yesterday, we were been able to taste impressive main dishes as the chop shown in the picture.

The meat is other of the tops from the catalan gastronomy and we think that in the mountain shires you might find the best meat dishes.

Normally, a great piece of meat is complemented with some sides as boiled potato, tomato or grilled artichokes.

Day 52 - 01/11/2013 : Cargols (snails)

Let me take a look on the catalan gastronomy.

In Gósol you should taste a sort of typical catalan dishes. In our first visit to this town we were looking for a place where we could eat catalan food.

Some people had talk to us about the great quality of catalan dishes in Gósol, and they weren't wrong. In 'El Forn' restaurant we could taste the best snails we've ever tasted.

They were cooked with pepper and salt and surrounded of little pieces of meat and you had the choice to eat them with 'all i oli', the most known sauce in Catalonia.

They were delicious !!!!
