Day 107 - 27/12/2013 : Can Serrat

This is the house of one of our best friends, Ramonchi.

The house is located in Torrelles de Foix, a stunning town in Alt Penedes shire. Torrelles is surrounded by a great number of vineyards, due to the wine tradition of this shire.

We like to visit Ramon sometimes to see how he progresses with the construction of their gate, he is built it stone by stone, collecting them from the ground of their house, he is a truly work men !!!

We are talking with Ramon to have a big party when the gate was finished, it will be a very special event !

Come on Ramonchi, come on !!!

Day 106 - 26/12/2013 : Litle waterfall in Gualba park

Coming back to the services area from the 'Mirador del Salt de Gualba' you should follow the walk path near the river (in Catalonia we call this little rivers as 'riera') to discover a beautiful forest plenty of trees changing their color in autumn or stunning waterfalls.

After you finish this lovely excursion within the park you will fell hungry, what about a barbecue?

You will be able to do by yourself, the park has a lot of services and a place to cook with fire without danger to the nature.

Day 105 - 25/12/2013 : Mirador del Salt de Gualba

If we continue walking by the path on the east of Gualba Park, you will arrive to the site of 'Mirador del Salt de Gualba'.

This is a waterfall created in the reservoir of Santa Fe (within the most visited places of Montseny Natural Park) and we reach it in Gualba Park following the 'Cami dels Esquirols' path. It's take 1 hour from the Service area.

The waterfall has 100m height and the best time to see it is spring season, with the water floods fast because the reservoir will be plenty.

Day 104 - 24/12/2013 : Wild pig in Gualba Park

In Gualba park you will be able to see local fauna as the wild pigs you will found in the walk path to 'Mirador del Salt de Gualba'.

These pigs looks fine, it seems they have been looking after carefully, with good food and beverage. They screamed a lot and the children were a little scared.

Will we see them again when the park reopens? A question to discover...

Day 103 - 23/12/2013 : Gualba Park

This natural park has belonged during almost 40 years to RACC (Reial Automobil Club de Catalunya) but due to economic problems was closed in may.

Now the total surface of the park has been transferred to Gualba council with the goal to reopen the park as soon as possible.

During decades Gualba has been considered one of the symbols of Montseny because the amount of services the park gave, from a lot of space for children leisure to pools in summer, giving the possibility to have barbecues or stay in a camping in the early 90s.

We hope we can enjoy again of this nature place !!!

Day 102 - 22/12/2013 : Civic

Isn't a normal car, he is 'The Car'.

This red bullet has run the Catalonia roads since 2009, it's certain that so many tips have been collected but the sensation of power deserves that.

In this picture our Civic looks fantastic, it was shining but it's normal, he has just started to run. Now, Civic has run more than 100.000 kilometers, visiting beaches, climbing mountains, crossing borders... and there is a plan to change the owner, specifically to a flying Murcia woman ;-)

Some plans to visit Europe with 'The Car' have been called out due to other trip holidays (for example in 2010 we changed by an unforgettable trip to Chile... Europe is easily reached, isn't?)

Will Civic travel around Europe in the future?

Day 101 - 21/12/2013 : Frare Blanc

This beautiful building is known as Casa Roviralta and is located in Av.Tibidabo 31, in S.Gervasi district between exit 6 and exit 7 from Ronda de Dalt.

It's a house designed by the architect Joan Rubió i Bellvé and it was built between 1903 and 1913. But, what's up with this house? There are a lot of beautiful houses in Barcelona and more famous than this.

The reason to their appearance is to be the place where 'Asador de Aranda' has the main restaurant in Barcelona. Do you like meat? Would you like to taste 'lechazo'? If the answer is Yes-Yes (remember please this choice ;-) you are being late to call and make a reservation.
